The City of Laguna Hills is holding its annual Volunteer Connection Day on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 9:00AM at the Community Center and Sports Complex. Volunteer Connection Day consists of trail clean-up and tree planting projects. Throughout the year, the local trails collect a large amount of trash and debris which take away from the beauty of the trail systems and natural areas.
Last year, volunteers collected over 768 pounds of recyclables and 732 pounds of trash! Concluding the event, a complimentary lunch at the Community Center is provided to all volunteers.
Volunteer Connection Day is a wonderful opportunity for residents to get involved in their City and to give something back to the community. The trail clean-up project is ideal for families and residents of all ages and abilities. If interested, be sure to send an email to customerservice@newerapm.com, or contact Todd Smyser, Community Services Senior Leader for the City of Laguna Hills at 949-707-2690.
We hope to see you there!
